Parys SARRC 2025
The marshal team gathered in Parys on Thursday evening, kicking off the weekend around the fire with good company and great conversations.
Friday started bright and early as marshals headed out to their various points. The racing was tight right from the beginning – the first six competitors were separated by just seconds. It made for exciting viewing on some excellent roads, with the competition staying fierce until the very last stages. Despite the bitter cold and relentless dust, every marshal stepped up and delivered with heart and hustle. Your dedication kept everything running smoothly, and thanks to you, the event went off without a hitch. After a long day, marshals came together again that evening to enjoy a braai, share stories, and unwind around the fire.
Saturday brought a brand-new stage, but the action was just as close as the day before. Once again, only seconds split the competitors. While the marshals faced a chilly early morning, the day soon warmed up into another fantastic outing. The evening ended, as always, with laughter, stories, and a fire that burned well into the night.
On Sunday, goodbyes were said with a heavy heart – not only because the weekend had flown by, but also after the disappointment of seeing Dricus du Plessis’ tough loss. Still, the promise of the next event left everyone with a smile, knowing we’ll all be back together again soon.
Thank you to every marshal who made this weekend possible – we’ll see you at the next one!
